Julian is a Partner of Deloitte Consulting’s Health Advisory Team with over 30 years of experience as both a health industry executive leader and senior consultant in the Australian Health sector.
His knowledge and experience of the sector extends across strategic, operational and technical domains of Health care management. Julian has provided advisory and commercial advice to a range of Australian public and private health service providers and to state and federal levels of Government.
Prior to joining Deloitte in 2021, Julian was a Principal of Paxton Partners a specialist Health care advisory firm and a Director with KPMG. His direct industry experience culminated as a Senior Executive at Melbourne health and included roles as Chief Financial Officer, Executive Director or Operational Management and Corporate and Clinical Support Services.
Julian is a recognised expert in financial and operational performance improvement across the Australian Healthcare sector with a particularly keen interest in identifying ways of breaking down traditional funding barriers across the care continuum, enhancing the use and value of activity based (episodic) costing and improving strategic financial leadership across the sector.
Julian is a Certified Practicing Accountant and holds a bachelor degree in Economics, Masters in Business Administration and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is also on the Board of Butterfly Foundation residential Care services and Hearts4Heart. He is also currently on the Board of Butterfly Foundation residential Care services and Hearts4Heart.
