Deloitte hosts official launch of Parramatta City Council’s ‘Parramatta Prospectus’
On Tuesday 17 December, Deloitte Western Sydney hosted Parramatta City Council Lord Mayor John Chedid as he launched a new prospectus designed to attract new business investment to Parramatta in 2014.
More than 100 people gathered at Deloitte’s Parramatta office for the event where the Lord Mayor said the prospectus will help market the City to private sector investors and drive new wealth and job opportunities in the city and the greater Western Sydney region.
“Our aim is to increase awareness of the city and the region as an economic growth engine and to stimulate private sector investment.”
“We will be targeting leading Australian and international firms and decision makers. What we’re saying to big business is look outside the CBD and North Sydney, invest in the economic capital of Western Sydney,” Cr Chedid said.
Deloitte Western Sydney office managing partner, Danny Rezek said: “Our Parramatta office is the hub of our Western Sydney regional growth strategy, somewhere for local business leaders, academics and government to connect and continue to drive growth in the region.”
Not only is Western Sydney the economic growth engine for New South Wales, in recent years it has become a key driver of growth for Deloitte. This growth has been made possible by the great talent that we’ve found locally and those who have been attracted to the potential of Parramatta from around Australia and beyond. The new investment document, positions the City of Parramatta and the Western Sydney region as a great place to live, work and invest.”
