Lawrence Lewis | The Bahamas

Lawrence is a Partner with Deloitte in The Bahamas with more than twenty (20) years of professional experience in public accounting, risk advisory and management consulting services, including ten (10) years as a partner.

From June 2014 through May 2016 he led Deloitte’s Risk Advisory practice across the Caribbean which includes information technology controls in support of external audits. Lawrence has served a variety of risk advisory and audit clients in banking including RBC Royal Bank, Santander, Société Genéralé, FirstCaribbean, Commonwealth Bank (Bahamas), Bank of The Bahamas, Fidelity Bank (Bahamas) and Bank of Nevis.

Lawrence’s significant international experience includes participating in the global Young Partners Advisory Council where he spent a year with a team of 30 partners drawn from around the world, advising the Deloitte Global CEO and executive team on strategic issues. He also participated in Deloitte’s Global Development Program with a one and a half year secondment to the ERS and Consulting practices in Toronto, Canada. Lawrence has also been sought by his colleagues around the Caribbean region and has performed assignments in Barbados, Cayman, Guyana, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago and Turks and Caicos.

He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Morehouse College with a Bachelor of Arts and from the College of The Bahamas with an Associate of Arts in Accounting with Distinction. He is a licensed Chartered Accountant, a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Information Systems Auditor.
