Deloitte in Switzerland reports fifth consecutive year of double-digit growth

Continued growth of all service lines enhances leading position in Swiss market

Deloitte in Switzerland has reported a 15% overall revenue growth for the financial year 2015. The fifth consecutive year of double-digit growth cements Deloitte’s status as one of the leading professional services firms in Switzerland. Next to its traditional Audit capabilities, Deloitte in Switzerland also boasts a flourishing Tax business as well as the largest Advisory practice amongst the Big Four.

The firm’s gross revenue1 grew to CHF 532 million for FY15 (ending 31 May 2015) from CHF 461 million last year. This 15% increase marks a continuation of Deloitte’s exceptional growth path in Switzerland. All four of the firm’s service lines – Audit, Tax, Consulting and Financial Advisory – have seen their revenue expand in the past twelve months.

Highlights from FY15

In the past year, Deloitte has invested in its business as well as the value it can deliver to clients through:

  • Further growing the firm’s Advisory capabilities – including Consulting, Financial Advisory and Risk Advisory –, cementing its status as the largest Advisory provider amongst the Big 4 in Switzerland.
  • Significantly increasing the footprint of Deloitte’s Tax business, and, as a result, receiving recognition as ‘Tax Firm of the Year’ in Switzerland for the third time in a row.
  • Continually investing in Deloitte’s core Audit proposition.
  • Leading the innovation topic in Switzerland by designing an exponential innovation ecosystem to help clients to define their strategies for the future.

Deloitte in Switzerland has recorded strong growth across the full array of industries, with the banking and life sciences industries having standout performances in FY15.

Investing in talent

Deloitte in Switzerland has increased its talent pool by 9% to more than 1,400 employees in Switzerland, including 15 new partners and 153 new graduate hires in FY15.

Diversity and women in leadership are high on the company agenda: Deloitte employees in Switzerland represent approximately 50 different nationalities. Women represent 17% of the firm’s leadership and 13% of the partnership, and Deloitte in Switzerland aims to further grow this number in the near future.

Outlook

Looking ahead, Howard Lovell stated: “We are seeing continued growth in the first quarter of the new financial year and are optimistic for the year ahead, as we are determined to advance on our journey to becoming the leading professional services firm in the country.”
