Deloitte strengthens team in Switzerland with five new equity partners

Deloitte’s Swiss firm has announced five new equity partners*: Sabine Betz, Will Eversden, Karine Szegedi-Pingoud, Benno Suter and Daniel Kobler became equity-partners. Jackie Hess, Deloitte Tax Partner, has joined the Deloitte leadership team as Managing Partner Talent. These new partners will continue to spur us forward on our growth-momentum.

Karine Szegedi Pingoud is an Audit partner leading the Industry and Services group in Geneva and has been with Deloitte since 1995. She a Swiss CPA, former member of the Swiss Exam Commission and has been closely involved with a variety of audit clients in the fields of consumer business, manufacturing and trading sectors.

Benno Suter leads the Indirect Tax practice of Deloitte in Switzerland as equity partner. He has almost 20 years of experience as a corporate tax and VAT senior advisor including five years as tax director of a multinational bank. Together with a team of 20 Indirect Tax Specialists in Zurich and Geneva he works on national and international projects. Benno joined Deloitte as the Indirect Tax practice leader in 2006.

Daniel Kobler is equity partner within Deloitte Consulting, leading the banking sector for Consulting in Switzerland. Daniel has more than 14 years experience in serving private banks and wealth managers. He regularly publishes articles and surveys in banking journals and is one of the leaders of the Deloitte’s Global Centre of Excellence for Wealth Management based in Zurich.

Sabine Betz joined Deloitte in 2004 and leads the Actuarial & Insurance Solutions team of Deloitte in Switzerland. As equity partner, Sabine leads the use of quantitative analytics skills to help clients in the insurance and other industries make smarter decisions using the large amounts of data and information they have.

Will Eversden leads the Deloitte Oil & Gas practice in Switzerland as equity partner. He has more than 15 years experience at providing assurance and advisory services to Oil & Gas and trading companies and has also led a number of IPOs, bond issues, due diligence and other projects for companies in the sector. Will was formerly part of Deloitte’s oil & gas practice in London before moving to Geneva in early 2010.

New addition to the Swiss leadership team

Jackie Hess is the firm’s new Managing Partner for Talent. She is responsible for the talent agenda including recruitment and career development and is a member of the Swiss Deloitte leadership team. Jackie is a corporate tax partner who leads our inbound business. She is a Swiss certified tax expert who has been with Deloitte since 2005 and has more than 15 years of experience working as a Big 4 tax advisor in Switzerland.
