IDC MarketScape: Deloitte named a leader in global business consulting based on capabilities and strategies

For the fifth consecutive year, IDC has named Deloitte Consulting member firm practices and advisory businesses globally as a leader in worldwide and regional consulting capabilities and business strategies. “Deloitte is perceived to be the best at challenging corporate culture, directly improving clients' commercial performance, maximizing the value of a project and meeting project timelines, and recommending change or innovation that produce results,” according to MarketScape for Business Consulting 2015 Vendor Analysis – Worldwide*.  This announcement comes on the heels of Gartner also ranking Deloitte as the No. 1 global consulting organization based on 2014 market share revenue for the fifth consecutive year.  Additionally, Deloitte was recognized by IDC as a leader in the Americas; a leader in EMEA and a Major Player in Asia Pacific*.

IDC defines Business Consulting as both management consulting (Strategy & Operations, Human Capital) and business advisory services (Risk, Financial Advisory, Audit & Tax Advisory). IDC excludes both IT advisory and IT implementation. The report assesses the capability and business strategy of the leading business consulting organizations. IDC describes the MarketScape as “a quantitative and qualitative assessment of the characteristics that explain a vendor's success in the marketplace.”  In its quantitative analysis, IDC includes revenue from Deloitte Consulting practices and advisory businesses globally.
