Deloitte sponsored the 5th Annual Global Automotive Forum and launched the 2014 Global Automotive Consumer Study

Organized by the Automotive Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the 5th Annual Global Automotive Forum (GAF) was held on Oct.16-17 in Wuhan, which attracted over 800 automotive business leaders, political decision-makers, and industry experts from across China and 20 countries worldwide. The topic this year is the Vision for the Transformation of China’s Automotive Industry. The forum was structured to encourage maximum interaction and debate to cover a wide range of issues and challenges facing the automotive industry, as to speed up the industry's transforming process.

As a long-term strategic partner with GAF, Deloitte has been a major sponsor of this premier automotive event for the fourth consecutive year. During the Brainstorming Session- Traditional Auto Industry is Being Buffeted by the Internet, Deloitte China Automotive Consulting Managing Partner Marco Hecker was invited as one of the panelists to share Deloitte’s perspectives on the changes in Chinese Gen Y consumer mobility choices  life style, and the usage of internet. Those factors will influence Gen Y purchasing behaviors and even the decision of which brand they would buy. While Deloitte China Automotive Consulting Associate Director Benjamin Chang was invited as one of the panelists to share Deloitte’s perspective on the outlook of China Auto Loan and Leasing Market in the Auto Financing debate session.

During this forum, Deloitte also held a press conference to launch "2014 Global Automotive Consumer Study: the Changing Nature of Mobility". Deloitte China Auto Dealership Sector Managing Partner Winhon Chow, Deloitte China Automotive Consulting Managing Partner Marco Hecker and Deloitte China Automotive Consulting Partner Pascal Hua attended this conference. The study received a lot of media attentions, and many companies expressed interests in learning more about the study after the launch in Wuhan.
