Deloitte accredited with Investors in People Platinum for the second time in a row

Deloitte Cyprus is excited to announce that Investors in People has awarded the company with the We invest in people, Platinum accreditation, for the second time. Platinum is the highest level of accreditation possible to achieve on the We invest in people. And it is something currently achieved by only 2% of Investors in People accredited organisations.

The accreditation means policies and practices around supporting people are embedded in every corner of Deloitte. According to Investors in People, in a platinum company, everyone – from the CEO to associates – knows they have a part to play in the company doing well, and is always looking for ways to improve.

The purpose of Investors in People is to make work better. Central to achieving this goal is the We invest in people accreditation, developed and refined over nearly 30 years to help companies, leaders and employees work together to create better, more productive workplaces. Investors in People is the international standard for people management, defining what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results. The Investors in People accreditation is a sign of a great employer, an outperforming place to work and a clear commitment to success; benchmarked against the best in the business on an international scale.

Commenting on the award, George Pantelides, Partner, Head of HR at Deloitte Cyprus, said: “This global accreditation demonstrates Deloitte’s commitment to high performance through good people management. It is a great testament to our investment in our people, our thirst for continuous development, as well as to the collective efforts we all make to foster an inclusive culture where everybody can flourish personally and professionally. While the past year was difficult and defined by uncertainty, it has shown what can be achieved through collective effort. We could not have achieved this status without our people – a significant part of our HR Priorities is based on their suggestions for continuous improvement. This cooperative approach is a model that we must continue to build on. We are proud of our people, their achievements and we are committed to continue investing in targeted HR initiatives that aim to support our firm’s purpose and our people’s aspirations.”

Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, commented: “We’d like to congratulate Deloitte Cyprus. Platinum accreditation on We invest in people is a remarkable effort for any organisation, and places Deloitte in fine company with a host of organisations that understand the value of people.”

The Investors in People Assessor also remarked: “What was great to see was that although Deloitte first achieved Platinum back in 2018, great strides had been made to further improve processes and practices for their people. It is important to highlight that Deloitte achieved the second highest benchmark score in the ‘Consultancy and Accounting Activities’ sector, which is a tremendous success.”

“The words ‘co-operation’ and ‘collaboration’ were frequently used, as well as ‘integrity’ and ‘taking care of each other like a family’. It says a lot when an organisation that has grown so much over the years still has that family feel. People are hugely proud of working for Deloitte and for the contribution the organisation makes to the community. The investment that has been made during COVID-19 is a credit to leadership and to all of the amazing people that helped those in need before and during the pandemic, and the impact will continue long into the future”, continued the Assessor.

Deloitte embraces the opportunity to lead by example and to drive change through cooperative efforts. As the world’s largest professional services organisation, Deloitte is guided by its purpose to make an impact that matters for clients, people and society.
