About the event
This event brought together the private sector active in the energy sector, electricity utilities and energy regulators, as well as the main relevant state authorities and key stakeholders, including the organisations participating in the “SmartPV” project, the “PV-NET” project and the general public. The example of Cyprus as a country with high solar irradiance was discussed as a case where energy policies such as smart net metering can now allow cost-effective penetration of RES into the energy mix.
