The client required the improvement of performance for the reporting aspect in their product, including the adjustment of existing reports as well as the backend calculations in the source of the data. Business issues also included the existing dashboards that lacked performance and most of the contents were not designed for the needs of different user groups but for the whole organization. Furthermore, analytical data models provided far more historical data than being used by the business users.

Analysis and assessment of existing reports, development of an application for analytics giving insights on the performance, implementation of streamlined and dedicated models and ensuring sustainability via creation of a comprehensive document elaborating on all identified performance issues and possible improvements.

Deloitte analysed and assessed existing reports as well as compared the target/actual situation with regard to the analysis requirements. We proposed performance improvements, developed an application for analytics giving insights on the performance of stories and applications, e.g., statistics related to usage/user or loading times and implemented streamlined and dedicated models and reports as Proof-of-Concept including communication and training for this approach. Lastly, we ensured sustainability via creating a comprehensive document elaborating on all identified performance issues and possible improvements as well as knowledge transfer to the client development teams and demo sessions.
