George Ankomah

George is the Lead Tax & Regulatory Partner at Deloitte Ghana with over 20 years’ experience in serving clients by providing them with the entire spectrum of tax services.

George’s professional career started with the Ghana Revenue Authority where he worked for over eight years and rose to the level of Principal Inspector of Taxes. He has proudly worked with two of the big four firms in Ghana and has a great worth of industry experience having worked with Newmont Mining as a Senior Manager in charge of tax services for Newmont Ghana Gold Limited and Newmont Golden Ridge Resources Limited. He has grown the performance of the Deloitte Ghana tax function over 400% over the past 5 years.

George is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG), and a Chartered Tax practitioner with the Chartered Institute of Taxation Ghana (CITG). He holds a Masters degree in Finance from the University of Leicester, U.K.
