Brendan is Managing Partner of Deloitte Ireland. He has been a partner with the firm since 1993. Prior to his present position Brendan was National Partner in Charge of Audit Services for the Irish firm with responsibility for the provision of professional services to a range of national and multinational clients. Brendan also headed up the firm's consumer business industry group. Brendan has served on the executive of the firm since 2002 and is a fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Financial Advisory Partner
Peter leads the Corporate Finance practice in Belfast and has more than 15 years’ experience advising a wide range of performing and distressed businesses across all key sectors in Northern Ireland. An expert in restructuring and refinancing, Peter has led some of the largest multi-bank deals in Northern Ireland. A Chartered Accountant and Licensed Insolvency Practitioner, Peter also sits on the advisory boards of a number of charitable and voluntary organisations in Northern Ireland.
Philip has been with Deloitte for over forty years and has been a partner for 30 years. As well as being an assurance and advisory partners, he is also Chief Information Officer of the Irish firm and Chief Information Officer of Deloitte EMEA. Philip has a broad range of clients and is responsible for the provision of audit, accounting and taxation services to several of the firm’s major clients.
Pascal is a partner and national leader of the indirect taxes group. He has over thirty years of experience and having worked both in the Revenue Commissioners and private practice during his career is uniquely placed to bring insight from both sides of any tax issue. Pascal was listed as one of the worlds leading indirect tax advisors and leaders by International Tax Review in 2013.
Declan Butler is a tax partner specialising in international tax, with a focus on US and European inward investment into Ireland and in structured finance and financial services. He currently advises a wide range of multinationals in the healthcare, high technology and financial services industries.
Kevin is a partner in Deloitte’s audit practice and is based in the Cork office. He has over 11 years of experience in professional services and primarily works with large corporate organisations and fast growing private companies across a range of industries including energy, manufacturing, agribusiness and shared services. Kevin has significant experience supporting companies with complex accounting matters under various financial reporting frameworks, particularly IFRS.
Forensic and Restructuring Services Partner
David leads Deloitte’s Forensic team. He has led investigation assignments covering allegations of fraud, theft and regulatory issues. David provides litigation support and has acted as an expert witness on numerous occasions. He has a background in Corporate Finance and previously led the Restructuring Services group and M&A Transaction Services group. David has over 20 years’ experience in corporate restructurings, independent business reviews and insolvencies.
Gerard is a partner in charge of the Galway region, with 13 years’ experience serving multinational, Irish listed and Irish indigenous entities. He has a particular focus in the food and beverage, technology and exploration and mining sectors. He has significant experience in a range of financial reporting frameworks including IFRS, Irish GAAP, US GAAP and new Irish GAAP (FRS 101/102). He has advised a number of companies in relation to Sarbanes - Oxley readiness and attestation.
Technology Consulting Partner
David Conway is a Partner in our Technology Integration practice. He has over fourteen years experience and leads the Irish Deloitte Digital solution area. David has deep experience as a Technology Advisor and Delivery Manager in both the Financial Services and Public Sector. He specialises in enterprise technology strategy and Digital channel transformation. Prior to this David held leadership roles with Canada Life, Bearing Point and an indigenous mobile technology software company.
Pádraig Cronin is Vice-Chairman of Deloitte Ireland having previously served as Head of Tax for the maximum period of 8 years. He is also M&A Services Leader for the firm and a member of the Board. Pádraig has been a Partner for over 18 years and has over 25 years of corporate tax experience advising on a wide range of global tax issues. He specialises in advising multinationals, high growth Irish companies and private equity houses on mergers and acquisitions and general corporate tax matters.
Partner - Head of M&A
Anya has recently re-joined the Irish firm as a partner in M&A Advisory within the Corporate Finance group.
Anya originally joined Deloitte in 2004 and spent 7 years in the Corporate Finance team focusing on lead advisory.
In 2011 Anya moved to London and spent five years with sell-side specialist boutique Cavendish Corporate Finance where she was a Partner focusing on the disposal of privately owned companies to trade and private equity purchasers, as well as minority sales and equity capital raisings. Anya advises on transactions across a range of sectors and her most recent transactions have included advising on the sale of a minority stake in World First to FTV Capital, the sale of the IT Job Board to Dice, the sale of Coopers of Stortford to Damartex SA, the sale Raleigh Cycle to Accell Group BV, the sale of retailer Robert Dyas to Theo Paphitis and the sale of luxury travel brand Scott Dunn to Inflexion Private Equity. Anya will now lead the M&A Advisory team in Dublin, advising clients on acquisitions, disposals and equity capital raisings.
Valarie Daunt leads the Organisation Transformation & Talent team in Ireland, specialising in Talent Strategies and Development. She has ten years consulting experience and was previously HRD with Bank of Scotland. She has extensive experience in all aspects of the development, design and implementation of organisation wide Talent strategy, Performance Management frameworks and Reward strategy
Corporate Finance Partner
John is a partner in the Corporate Finance Advisory Services Division of Deloitte. Before joining Deloitte in 2010 John spent ten years in corporate banking. During his time in banking John managed portfolios of large corporate and SME loans. Since joining Deloitte John has acted as company side advisor on a large number of new debt raisings, refinancings and debt restructurings in a range of sectors.
Partner Restructuring Services
Ken Fennell is a Partner in our restructuring services at Deloitte. Ken is a founding partner of kavanaghfennell, a leading Irish specialist insolvency and advisory firm which was acquired by Deloitte in June 2014. Ken has over 20 years experience in restructuring and insolvency assignments for all the major financial institutions including KBC, AIB, ACC, NAMA, BOI. Ken is recognised as one of Ireland's leading insolvency professionals with in excess of 300 insolvency appointments. Ken has worked on a wide variety of assignments in both the large and SME business sectors. Ken is a regular contributor in the media on insolvency related matters.
Gerry has extensive experience with boards, audit committees and regulators of listed companies and regulated entities. Gerry has led numerous audits, delivering new perspectives and challenges following audit transition and delivering control and process design input. Gerry specialises in corporate governance, audit and risk management services for financial institutions.
Alan is a consulting partner based in the Dublin office with over twenty years of experience specialising in the area of financial management and transformation. Alan is a member of our EMEA Finance Transformation Leadership Team. Prior to joining Deloitte in 1998, Alan worked in industry for Diageo plc in a variety of finance function roles across the group. Alan has successfully completed numerous finance projects for multinational corporations, indigenous plcs and large private companies.
Head of Energy and Resources
Michael is a corporate finance partner and leads our debt advisory practice. Michael is also Head of Energy and Resources. He specialises in advising public, private and banking clients on debt raising, restructuring and refinancing for both project finance and corporate debt transactions including the development of government and infrastructure assets and energy and renewable energy assets.
Partner - Audit
Matthew is responsible for the delivery of audit and advisory projects to investment management and life assurance clients of the firm. Matthew is also a member of the FS audit leadership team and leads the FS business practice sub-group which focus on utilisation, implementation of the efficiency agenda and business operations.
Financial Services Partner
Brian is a Partner in our Financial Services Audit team. His primary expertise is in the delivery of audit and advisory services to clients in the investment management industry. Brian has over 18 years experience in the area and has worked in three key investment management jurisdictions, namely Ireland, the Channel Islands and Grand Cayman. Brian has led a number of risk and operational reviews across the sector and has extensive experience of due diligence projects for large transactions.
Karen is a partner in the firm’s tax practice and a member of the firm’s international tax group. She has over 17 years’ experience advising multinational groups investing in Ireland and Irish-based groups on outward investments. She has significant expertise in the area of corporate group reorganisations, the due diligence process, and tax efficient Intellectual Property structures. Karen specialises in business model optimisation advisory and M&A for multinational groups. Karen is an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute and a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland. She is a Council Member of the Irish Taxation Institute.
Mary Fulton provides advisory and assurance services to insurance and banking clients with a focus on regulatory and accounting matters such as Solvency II and IFRS 4. She has extensive experience in advising financial services enterprises setting up business in Ireland and leads assignments in strategy, risk, governance and compliance.
Head of Consulting
Harry is head of Consulting for Deloitte Ireland. He has extensive experience leading the implementation of technology rich change programmes in the public sector and retail financial services industry. He has worked with national and local government in Ireland and has advised a broad range of public sector organisations in change and transformation.
Niamh is an audit partner working in the financial services industry group. She specialises in the provision of assurance and advisory services to clients in the investment management and structured finance sectors. Niamh has wide ranging experience in risk, accounting, advisory and audit services, garnered from working with both Irish domiciled companies as well as large multinational entities. Niamh holds Masters of Accounting and Bachelor of Commerce (International with French) degrees from UCD, and is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Financial Services Partner
Glenn Gillard leads the firm's offerings in the insurance area. Glenn has extensive experience working with domestic, cross-border and international insurers. His experience includes areas such as external audit, internal audit and controls assurance, regulatory projects and licence applications. Glenn sits on the Department of An Taoiseach IFSC Solvency II Working Group and on the Accounting Committee of the Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Head of Tax and legal services
Lorraine leads Deloitte’s tax and legal services.She has worked and advised on a range of significant M&A transactions in recent years, both on the buy and sell side. She also advises a significant number of indigenous and multinational life sciences organisations on a broad range of tax issues including structuring of business operations in Ireland, transfer pricing, R&D tax credits, human capital tax issues, and debt financing arrangements.
Darren is an audit partner working in the financial services industry group. He has over 12 years’ experience specialising in the provision of assurance and advisory services to clients in the investment management industry. Darren has experience in numerous areas including risk, accounting, advisory, and audit services, and provides advice to investment management funds and their service providers. Darren holds a Master’s in Accounting degree from DCU, and is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Niall is a partner in Deloitte Private advising private domestic businesses, private companies and high net worth individuals on a range of taxation issues. He has extensive experience dealing with family business succession, tax efficient investment structures, corporate reorganisations, property transactions and tax matters surrounding privately held wealth. He is a former examiner and lecturer of the Irish Taxation Institute.
Daryl Hanberry is a tax partner, working with clients across a broad range of industries, including the consumer business, manufacturing and technology sectors. With over 12 years’ experience, he specialises in Global Employer Services, focussing on providing advice on executive remuneration, employment tax, M&A, and international mobility issues. Daryl also has international tax experience focusing on multinational companies appropriately structuring US investment into Ireland. Daryl has previously spent time with Deloitte in both the UK and the US.
He holds a first class Bachelor of Commerce (International) degree and a Master’s of Accounting degree, both from UCD. Daryl is a Chartered Accountant (ACA), Tax Consultant (AITI) and is also a qualified member (CTA) of the Chartered Institute of Taxation in the UK.

Michael leads our multidisciplinary investment management team which provides audit, assurance, tax, consulting and regulatory advice to all aspects of the investment management industry. Michael's area of expertise is serving this industry, with particular focus on alternative investment and mutual funds. Michael has assisted a number of international financial institutions on various special assignments including, accounting investigations, risk and regulatory compliance reviews.
Head of Consumer Business
David is head of Consumer business for Deloitte Ireland. He has over 25 years of experience in business transformation and IT. His clients include large Irish and multinational companies as well as Public Sector organisations. David graduated with a Masters in Engineering from University College Dublin and is a Chartered Engineer. He is a member of the Deloitte Consulting Global Leadership team, responsible for c. 44,000 consultants worldwide.
Partner Risk Advisory
Eileen is a partner in the firm’s Risk Advisory team. She has over 18 years’ experience in providing risk management, governance, internal audit, compliance and technology assurance services to a wide range of clients across the public and private sectors. Eileen has a particular focus in the agri-food, technology, and life sciences sectors serving clients from our offices in Cork and Limerick as well as nationally. She also has significant experience in governance and risk matters across the Irish public sector including the higher education sector. Eileen holds Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Business Studies degrees from University College Cork, and is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland. Eileen is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). Eileen is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association.
Head of Technology, Media and Telecommunications
Richard leads the firm's Technology Media and Telecommuciation group and is lead partner on the Deloitte Best Managed Companies Programme. Richard has advised clients on stock market flotations, group reorganisations and mergers and acquisitions and has written and lectured on IFRS, US GAAP and issues facing tech companies in Ireland. He also sits on the council of the 30% Club, a body which promotes diversity at CXO and Board level and is a member of the Chartered Accountants Ireland Strategic Task Force on Training.
Cormac is lead partner for the firm's strategy & operations and Human Capital Management consulting services. He has worked with Deloitte for 16 years and specialises in operations consulting and business performance improvement. Cormac is an experienced programme manager with a track record of delivering large and complex implementations across industries. Cormac has a BA in Management Science & Information Systems Studies and is a member of the Institute of Management Consultants and Advisors.
Conor is a tax partner with Deloitte in Dublin. Conor has more than 18 years of experience advising clients in financial services and international tax. In particular he has advised extensively on transactions in the insurance, banking and leasing sectors. He has provided advice to many clients on inbound and outbound investment, optimising the use of Ireland’s corporate tax rate, tax planning with the aim of maximising tax efficiency and minimising tax cost.

Brian is a partner in Deloitte’s financial services audit group with a particular focus on the provision of audit and advisory services to clients in the investment management sector. Brian works on audit engagements for Irish and offshore funds and multiple advisory projects locally and internationally. Prior to joining Deloitte in 2002 Brian worked extensively in the financial services sector in Ireland and the UK.
Louise Kelly is a partner in the tax practice and specialises in corporate and international tax. She works very closely with our client teams to deliver world-class capabilities and high quality service to clients, delivering the insights they need to address their most complex business issues. Louise brings over 14 years’ experience to the role having joined the firm in 2001 and led Deloitte's Irish desk in New York during 2011 and 2012.

Tom Kavanagh is a Partner in our restructuring services at Deloitte. Tom is the founding partner of kavanaghfennell, a leading Irish specialist insolvency and advisory firm which was acquired by Deloitte in June 2014. As such Tom’s expertise covers a wide range of restructuring services including corporate restructuring; receiverships; advisory; examinerships; liquidations and forensic accounting. for many of Ireland’s leading financial institutions including Bank of Ireland, AIB, Ulster Bank, NAMA, Lloyds, IBRC, KBC, Zurich, and Investec.
Partner Risk Adisory
David is a partner in Deloitte’s Risk Advisory practice specialising in the provision of internal audit and risk management services to clients in the financial services, corporate and public sectors. He leads a number of significant internal audit co-sourcing engagements and has also led several risk advisory and special engagements for a host of national and international clients.
Peter is a partner in the Technology Consulting department, and is a leader of SAP-enabled business transformation programmes. He has spent over 18 years delivering SAP solutions and services to clients in both the public and private sectors. Peter’s experience spans numerous industries including food and beverage, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and life sciences, and technology and telecommunications. In addition to SAP implementation experience he also has in-depth functional knowledge of finance, procurement, sales and logistics. Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry from Trinity College Dublin.
Head of Audit and Risk Advisory
Marguerite leads our Audit and Risk Advisory team and is a member of the firm’s leadership team with responsibility for clients and markets and the firm’s industry programmes. She has responsibility for the provision of professional services to a broad range of the firm’s major national and international clients and specialises in advising public companies and large private companies on finance, governance matters and the provision of audit services.
Donal has over 14 years of experience in providing advisory and consulting services with a particular focus on large scale transformation programmes within the financial services industry. Prior to working in consulting, Donal was a finance manager for six magazines at Conde Nast Publications in New York, and held a number of finance and accounting positions at Aer Lingus in both New York and Dublin. Donal received his MBA (Finance) qualification from Fordham University, New York.
Tom joins Deloitte as a partner in the Tax practice and will lead the firm’s Tax Policy and Technical Services team. He will work very closely with our client teams to deliver world-class capabilities and high quality service to clients, delivering the insights they need to address their most complex business issues.
Tom brings over 15 years of experience to the role, providing tax advice on a wide range of domestic and international corporation tax matters. He is highly regarded within the tax profession as a deep technical specialist, his extensive experience includes having authored and co-authored leading texts on matters such as the Irish tax impact of IFRS, certain financial services transactions and general anti-avoidance. Tom will lead his team to help enable Deloitte to deliver deep knowledge of tax and statutory requirements as well as a breadth of experience applying them in practice worldwide.
Financial Services Partner
Christian is an audit partner in our financial services practice. He specialises in the investment management sector working with a variety of asset managers and third party service providers. He provides clients with additional advisory services in relation to valuation issues/principles, corporate structures and application of GAAP.
Eimear is a partner in the Financial Services Group of Deloitte in Dublin, specialising in the provision of assurance and advisory services to clients in the insurance sector. Eimear has been with the firm for over 10 years and has wide ranging experience in risk and accounting services. Eimear is an experienced coordinator of both international and domestic engagements, dealing with a variety of accounting frameworks, and is the IFRS 4 Phase II Irish lead for the Deloitte EMEA IFRS 4 group.
Risk Advisory Partner
Colm leads Deloitte’s Risk Advisory practice in Ireland specialising in security risk, regulatory and control assurance and consulting assignments. Colm and his team support clients in risk management, information and technology risk, regulatory compliance and internal audit. Colm has been with Deloitte since 1992 and has worked across all business sectors. Colm is the Treasurer of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce and he is also a Council member. Colm is a Board member of St. Patrick's Hospital Foundation and he is also a member of the Barretstown Legacy Fund Committee.
Partner - Audit
Ann is a Partner in our Consumer & Technology Business Audit department and has experience in the provision of audit and advisory services to a wide range of business sectors including consumer products, energy and logistics. She is responsible for leading and co-ordinating large plc and multinational global group audits. Ann has also worked on advisory projects for our plc and multinational clients, including IFRS transition projects, and accounting advisory support.
Partner - Audit
Sinéad is a Partner in our Consumer & Technology Business Department. She has extensive experience managing and leading audits across a number of industries including food and ingredients, manufacturing, and energy and resources. She works with large and small organisations and has significant experience of reporting to the Boards and Audit Committees of public and private companies.
Public Sector Lead Partner
Shane leads our public sector industry group and is a Consulting partner based in our Dublin office. He specialises in finance transformation, business model transformation (including shared services and outsourcing advisory), strategy and operations. He has worked with multiple Government Departments and other public bodies in advisory roles, and supporting complex change and transformation programmes. In addition, Shane has worked with many commercial State bodies, multi-national corporations and PLCs. Shane’s is also the Deloitte Ireland Innovation Leader.
Honor is Partner in charge of the Cork region. She is a partner in Deloitte’s audit practice. Honor has extensive experience in the delivery of audit and advisory services to both multinational and indigenous companies across a broad range of industries and her specialities include external audit, IFRS, and Sarbanes Oxley. Honor is a member of the Board of the firm.
Simon is a partner in Deloitte’s technology integration group. He has extensive experience in architecting large scale IT systems to meet client’s business needs. Simon’s core skills include enterprise architecture, information architecture, service oriented architecture, application architecture, and integration. Simon is certified by the Open Group as a master certified IT architect.
Daniel is an audit partner specialising in the provision of assurance and advisory services to both multinational and Irish indigenous companies across a broad range of industry sectors, most notably technology, retail and distribution, manufacturing, energy, aviation and life sciences. He has experience of accounting under various accounting standards including IFRS and US GAAP. He also has extensive M&A advisory and due diligence transaction execution experience.
Joan is a senior international tax partner based in Dublin and is also Head of the TMTE Group in Ireland. She has over 25 years international tax experience in Dublin and London covering a wide range of industries including life sciences, telecoms, technology, media and energy. Joan works with Irish plcs and inbound multinational clients from the US, UK, Europe and Japan on outbound and inbound transactions, as well as using Ireland as a base for European and worldwide business operations.
Ciarán is a partner in our Audit & Assurance department. He currently serves a portfolio of clients in the consumer business, energy and technology sectors. Ciarán has substantial IFRS experience, having co-ordinated the audit of the transition from US GAAP and/or Irish GAAP to IFRS for a number of companies. He has detailed knowledge of accounting issues relating to areas such as software revenue recognition, business combinations, complex financial instruments and tax accounting.
Brian is a financial services director in Deloitte’s Audit practice. As well as three years in Australia working in the Insurance and structured finance industry Brian’s experience includes managing the audits of significant clients in the financial services industry. These companies are involved in a range of areas including life assurance, non-life insurance, captive insurance, banking, reinsurance and stockbroking.
Dan is a partner in our tax services department and is based in our Limerick office. He has extensive experience in providing specialist corporate tax advice to a range of clients in the IT, manufacturing, distribution and retail sectors. He has particular expertise in group restructurings, use of Ireland to maximise the benefit of its low corporate tax rate and the tax issues associated with property related transactions. Dan holds a B.Comm from University College Cork.
John is a partner in Deloitte’s tax services department and is based in the Cork office. He has extensive experience advising public and private sector clients on a wide range of tax issues including international tax, group reorganisation, succession planning, and private client advisory.
Emer is a partner in our Consumer and Technology Business department with over 12 years’ experience serving mainly plc and large corporate clients, including multinationals. She deals with a wide variety of accounting frameworks including IFRS, Irish GAAP, US GAAP and new Irish GAAP (FRS 101/102) and industries including food and beverage, life sciences and telecommunications. Emer is an experienced coordinator of international audits, both inward and outbound.
Head of Financial Services Tax
Deirdre is a Financial Services Tax Partner and is Head of the Financial Services Tax Group of Deloitte in Ireland. She is a Chartered Accountant with more than 15 years’ experience in advising financial services clients in the areas of investment management and funds, banking, securitisation, structured finance and leasing.
She was previously Chairman of the Irish Funds Industry Association (IFIA) and is currently a member of the IFIA Tax Group.
In addition, she is a Board member of Deloitte in Ireland.
Partner - Audit
Ciara Regan leads Deloitte’s Actuarial & Insurance Solutions life practice. She has more than 20 years of experience in the life assurance, reinsurance and consulting industries. Ciara has worked across product development, pricing, reserving, risk management, regulation and compliance. Recent advisory projects include Appointed Actuary peer reviews, Independent Actuary roles, MCEV / IFRS, Solvency II and risk framework reviews.
Head of Corporate Finance
Martin is a banking advisory/financial audit services partner and leads our Corporate Finance team. Martin specialises in the provision of assurance and advisory services to clients in the banking and securities sector. He has significant audit experience, he has specialised in the financial services sector and has worked on a large number of advisory assignments across a range of financial institutions including building societies, stockbrokers and credit unions.
David is a partner in the firm’s Consulting practice, specialising in banking. David has 15 years’ experience providing consulting services to a wide range of domestic and international corporations, predominantly in the banking and insurance sectors. He has extensive experience in leading and advising on large scale transformational change initiatives, including regulatory execution, channel transformation, operational excellence and outsourcing. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics, and a Master’s degree in Cognitive Psychology from the NUI Maynooth, and is a certified management consultant as well as holding chartered status with the Irish Computer Society.
Glenn leads the Tax practice in Northern Ireland which is involved in all aspects of the tax compliance and advisory work for Deloitte’s corporate and personal clients. He has wide experience gained through advising a variety of private and public sector organisations. His clients include large corporate groups, owner managed businesses and non-departmental public bodies.
Kevin has more than 15 years audit and advisory experience in a variety of industries including manufacturing, retail and distribution, and bloodstock. He also services a number of large property development and construction groups. In addition, Kevin specialises in the provision of audit and transaction support services to a number of listed natural resource and exploration groups.
Corporate Finance Partner
Michael is a corporate finance partner and he leads this service line in our regional offices in Cork and Limerick. However Michael also acted as a lead taxation partner for many years. Michael has extensive experience in M&A, refinancing and corporate reorganisations and restructuring from both a taxation and corporate finance point of view. He delivers services to a very broad range of clients across the technology, distribution, manufacturing, services and property sectors.
Partner Risk Advisory
Sean is a partner in the Risk Advisory department of Deloitte where he provides risk, compliance and regulatory advisory services to financial and non-financial institutions. Sean has over 16 years’ financial services experience and assists firms with obtaining authorisation from the Central Bank of Ireland in addition to providing ongoing conduct and prudential regulatory and compliance support. Sean has particular expertise in assisting firms conduct large scale regulatory remediations. Sean holds a Bachelor of Law degree from UCD, is a qualified solicitor, and also holds an MBA in Regulation and Compliance from Smurfit Business School.
Cathal is Partner in charge of the Limerick region. He is a partner in our audit and assurance practice and has significant experience in leading audit and advisory services to both multinational and indigenous organisations. Cathal is the current Vice President of Limerick Chamber. Cathal holds a BBS from the University of Limerick and he is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
David Van Dessel

David began his professional career in the Corporate Recovery Department of Deloitte & Touche, Dublin in 1990, where he trained for 5 years with Insolvency Practitioner, John Donnelly. Most of this time was spent working on Corporate Recovery Assignments, which involved the management and sale of companies that had hit a cash crisis. During this time David was also seconded to the Consultancy Division of the firm to assist on a number of Forensic Accounting assignments. In 1995 David left Deloitte & Touche and worked for two years with Tom Kavanagh and Ken Fennell before Kavanagh Fennell was established in 1997.
Joanne is Head of Private Clients and leads the corporate and legal service line in the firm. She has extensive experience advising family business, private companies and individuals on the legal and taxation issues arising on the transfer of wealth to the next generation and related issues. She advises private and corporate clients on a range of other tax and legal issues, with a particular focus on stamp duty issues arising on corporate reorganisations and mergers.
