Following the economic downturn, all investment asset classes have suffered serious decline in value. As a result, the Irish Courts are dealing with a large number of cases brought by disgruntled investors against investment promoters and advisers.
These cases involve investors who have suffered losses in a variety of investments including bonds and syndicated property schemes in Ireland and elsewhere. In this article, Andrew examines some of the forensic accounting issues which arise in these cases.
