Top Technology Talent Competition 2014
Got the next big technology idea?
The Deloitte Top Technology Talent Competition, in association with the Deloitte Consulting Academy, is looking for your ideas on how technology can solve a business problem.
About the competition
The Deloitte Top Technology Talent Competition, now in its fourth year, seeks innovative ideas from college students at all levels across Ireland on how technology can solve a business problem, create a business opportunity or enhance an existing service offering.
The top submissions will be invited to attend a ‘development day’ hosted in the Deloitte Academy on Thursday 20 March 2014. This is a unique opportunity for students to receive training and lectures from external speakers along with senior Deloitte management. At the end of this day candidates will present a five minute elevator pitch on their idea. On Thursday 27 March a shortlist will present their ideas to our panel of judges to determine the overall winner.

Last year's winners
A group of Trinity Students won the 2013 Deloitte Top Technology Talent Competition for their idea for an app which lets people upload an event into their diary and provides an option to share the event details instantly with their friends’ calendars.
The three students, Samuel Albanie, Pablo Porto Veloso and Florian Rhinow, all of whom are studying for an MSc in Networks and Distributed Systems, presented ‘Snapit!’ as a business solution for tourism and nightlife businesses.
‘Snapit!’ creates a new and innovative platform for event promoters to access their target market. Premium placed event slots would be offered to promoters and event organisers to purchase. These slots would depend on the user’s location, thus targeting the most relevant audience. Close integration with social media platforms could also offer further segmentation of the advertising market.
