DME Gaza crisis response

It is with profound sorrow that we witness the outbreak of yet another conflict in the Middle East, a region that has already borne the weight of unspeakable tragedy, loss, and destruction. The human cost of this conflict is staggering, with thousands of lives lost and countless more left injured and displaced. The scale and intensity of this devastation are unprecedented, leaving behind a trail of shattered dreams and broken lives.

Our hearts go out to those who have been directly impacted by this conflict, whether through the loss of loved ones, the displacement from their homes, or the psychological trauma of witnessing such widespread destruction. We extend our deepest sympathies to all those who are suffering, and we stand in solidarity with them during this time of immense hardship.

Helping to address such suffering is the responsibility of all, including us at Deloitte. We have never taken our role as part of our communities lightly and have a proud history of close to one hundred years in the region of supporting humanitarian aid to our communities. We pledge to continue our unyielding commitment to support our people and our region.

Humanitarian Support from DME

Very early on during this crisis, and when the impact on the Gaza children and civilians was unfolding, the leadership at DME initiated support, on behalf of the people of DME, by allocating an urgent relief fund. This fund has so far been allocated to UNRWA and their relief efforts, in addition to the Red Crescent, and our impacted people in Palestine, to address immediate needs.

We also directed donations to the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS). The mission of the PRCS is to provide humanitarian assistance as well as health and social services to Palestinians.
