Mitsuko Fukunaga

Mitsuko is a tax partner of Deloitte Japan’s Global Trade Advisory practice.
Mitsuko has in-depth experience dealing with matters related to customs duty and international trade. Before joining Deloitte, she worked for a leading Japanese manufacturing company, and handled customs and trade issues in various countries.

Utilizing her experience in engaging customs and trade issues in Japan and abroad, she provides professional advice on customs optimized supply chains. She does this from various aspects, such as, customs valuation, customs classification, strategic utilization of FTA/EPA, and other preferential duty schemes. She also has expertise in planning and implementation of customs compliance schemes.
