Deloitte ranked #1 in global consulting by Gartner for third consecutive year

New York, NY, 25 July 2013 – Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL) is pleased to announce that Gartner has ranked Deloitte the number one global consulting services provider based on revenue, for the third consecutive year in their Market Share Analysis: Consulting Services, Worldwide, 2012. Deloitte remains the top player in 2012 for consulting services, with a 6.6 percent market share and consulting services growth rate of 13.8 percent.

Gartner defines consulting as “those advisory services leading to technology solutions/ implementations and include transformation-related advisory such as finance and human capital transformation.”

Gartner competitor and market insights

• The worldwide consulting services market grew 5.1 percent to $89.6 billion in 2012, from $85.2 billion in 2011.
• The top 10 consulting service providers grew at a faster pace at 8.4 percent compared with the overall market in 2012.
• The top five fastest-growth country markets for consulting services were all from Asia/Pacific: Indonesia at 42.3 percent, China at 29.2 percent, Malaysia at 24.6 percent, and Thailand at 22.3 percent. The new and emerging markets of Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Brunei, and Sri Lanka are also capturing interest from investors.
