CREATING AN IMPACT, DELIVERING THE DREAM

Deloitte Singapore is more than just the Official Professional Services Partner for the 28th SEA Games: Deloitte’s specialists have been working alongside the Games committee behind the scenes and over 160 Deloitte official Games volunteers will be helping out to ensure its success.

“It is with great pride that we participate in the countdown festivities as it is one of the key milestones for the Games, adding to Singapore’s 50th anniversary celebrations. We are thrilled to be playing an instrumental role in bringing this major sporting event to Singaporeans and to the region. 10 of our Deloitte athletes will be competing for medals in 7 sports – Archery, Badminton, Basketball, Fencing, Floorball, Netball and Triathlon. We believe many of our people will be cheering on our Team Singapore athletes and those of our Southeast Asia neighbours from the stands. Through our involvement in the SEA Games, we hope to ‘Deliver the Dream’ and create an impact that matters – for our people, our clients, and our community,” said Philip Yuen, Chief Executive Officer of Deloitte Singapore.

The number “2” holds great significance for Deloitte, this being their second major sporting event as a sponsor following their involvement in the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games. Together with their 2 community partners, NorthLight School and Tung Ling Community Services, Deloitte employees gathered in the NorthLight School’s new campus at Towner Road to create a human formation of the number 2, as we near the end of the countdown to the official opening of the Games. The countdown coincides with Deloitte’s annual IMPACT Day, an annual celebration of their commitment to the community, providing cherished opportunities for employees to connect in meaningful social activities. All participants enjoyed themselves at a specially organised carnival that marked both occasions.
