Mobile Telephony and Taxation in Turkey
The report was commissioned by the GSM Association (‘the GSMA’) to examine the economic contribution of mobile telephony and the impact of mobile specific taxation in Turkey.
The report provides an analysis of the impact of mobile telephony on Turkish citizens and the economy between the years 2008-2011. It also describes the level of taxation that applies to mobile consumers and Mobile Network Operators (‘MNOs’) in Turkey, evaluating the effects that mobile specific taxes have on the industry and the wider economy.
