Online meetings at Deloitte

Deloitte currently use Skype for Business for online meetings which was formally known as Lync.

Instructions on how to use Skype for Business for external attendees and Deloitte practitioners can also be found below.

 

External attendees

Online meeting (for meetings with content sharing)

  • Click on the Join online meeting link on the meeting invite
  • On the Skype for Business Web App screen select Join as a guest
  • Enter your name in the box provided
  • Click the Join Meeting button
  • You should see a dialogue box stating you have successfully joined the meeting.

You will now need to follow the audio conferencing instructions.


Audio Conferencing

  • From within UK
        - +44 (0)207 303 0321
  • International
       - Click on the 'Find a local number' link to find your nearest dial in number
       - If your country is not listed, please visit this page of local dial in numbers
  • When prompted, enter the Conference ID via the telephone keypad and press #
       - This can be found in the meeting invite
  • When prompted, record your name and press #
       - You may hear music if the presenter has not yet joined the conference.

Deloitte practitioners

Online meeting (for meetings with content sharing)

  • Click on the Join online meeting link on the meeting invite

   If you have already migrated to Microsoft Skype for Business

  • Select Use Skype for Business (integrated audio and video)
  • Press OK.

Audio Conferencing

  • From within UK
       - Internal - x30321
       - External - +44 (0)207 303 0321
  • International
    - Click on the 'Find a local number' link to find your nearest dial in number
    - If your country is not listed, please visit this page of local dial in numbers
  • When prompted, enter the Conference ID via the telephone keypad and press #
       - This can be found in the meeting invite
  • When prompted, record your name and press #
       - You may hear music if the presenter has not yet joined the conference.

Online meetings allow real-time interactive sharing of desktop applications between the meeting presenter and attendees. Applications which can be shared by the presenter include

  • PowerPoint presentations
  • Microsoft Office documents
  • Interactive whiteboard
  • Online polls.

There are two methods to join a conference depending on whether content will be shared during the meeting

  • If content will be shared during the meeting: follow the instructions for Online meeting as well as for Audio Conferencing
  • If no content will be shared during the meeting: follow the instructions for Audio Conferencing.
