Double appointment for Deloitte TMT practice

• Dan Adams has joined the consulting team at Deloitte Digital as a telecoms partner
• Paul Staples joins to lead Deloitte’s advisory corporate finance business for technology, media and telecommunications

Deloitte, the business advisory firm, has appointed two new partners to its technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) sector team. Dan Adams and Paul Staples have joined the consulting and financial advisory practices, respectively.

In his new role, Dan Adams will act as a telecommunications lead in the Deloitte Digital practice. He will focus on developing new client relationships and creating innovative opportunities in the telecommunications market, consulting on issues including connectivity, risk and cost reduction. Dan joins from Accenture, where he led several award-winning transformations in the global telecommunications sector and specialised in marketing, sales, service and supply chain.

With over 25 years’ experience, Paul Staples has joined to head up the TMT sector in Deloitte’s advisory corporate finance business. Paul was formerly head of UK corporate finance and a senior managing director in the European Investment banking division of BNP Paribas. Prior to this, he held TMT advisory roles at both Schroders and Citigroup.

Dan Adams said: “Deloitte has led the TMT industry in moving towards providing a digital offering. The maturing of cloud and digital offerings from our partners, means our clients are able to kick off initiatives that create more value, more quickly at lower investment.”

Paul Staples added: “The advisory team at Deloitte is enjoying a strong first half performance, including having recently advised Liberty Global on its acquisition of TV3, and I am confident that our business will continue to grow.
