Deloitte supports flexible working through ‘Hire Me My Way’ initiative

24 May 2016

Deloitte, the professional services firm, is proud to support Timewise, the flexibility experts, by joining the ‘Hire Me My Way’ initiative.

Emma Codd, Managing Partner for Talent at Deloitte says: “Deloitte is backing Timewise’s ‘Hire Me My Way’ initiative to help grow the UK’s flexible jobs market. Flexible hiring will help enable us to continue to attract the best people.

“We understand that high performance doesn’t have to mean working full time – we recognise that people are juggling their careers with commitments and interests outside of work. So for us it is imperative that our people are able to balance a successful and fulfilling career with these interests.”

‘Hire Me My Way’ has been designed to make finding a flexible job in 2016 easier and more transparent, so candidates know where to look for such roles. Deloitte is proud to be one of the first employers in the country to have made an open commitment to discussing flexible working opportunities when it recruits.

Deloitte launched its WorkAgility Framework in 2014, a means through which our people are able to work in an agile/flexible way, either formally (for example through reduced hours) or informally (through, for example, working from home), whilst still developing and enjoying a successful career. The framework, which also includes our award winning Time Out programme, is a business priority and was introduced with the full support of our firm’s leadership.

WorkAgility
Deloitte is committed to ensuring that it has a culture and environment in which our people are able to balance a successful career with commitments outside work - whether that is family, other caring commitments or other interests. While this environment is critical when it comes to keeping our female talent, we are clear that it is important to all our people, including our fathers who wish to be involved in family commitments. Our people are very clear that they look for a good work-life balance that enables them to pursue interests outside work alongside a successful career.
