Luminary Maureen Carter joins Deloitte Digital as creative director focused on serving federal clients

Washington, D.C., August 20, 2013Deloitte Digital announced today the appointment of Maureen Carter, formerly Vice President, Digital Brand Creative for Nickelodeon (Family division of MTVN), as creative director, Deloitte Digital. In her new role she will lead the interactive team and work with Deloitte Digital’s federal clients to develop new and innovative ways to integrate digital solutions into the everyday operations of government, including interactions with constituents.

Carter’s career includes an extensive background with online and interactive media for major entertainment and media companies like BMG entertainment, Comcast and Time Warner. She also has extensive interactive and advertising experience. For the past 12 years, Carter has served as an adjunct professor at multiple colleges and universities teaching theories on design and conceptual development. She is also a published thought leader and has lectured in France on methodologies for leading design teams. Some of her college appointments have been with Pratt Institute, Academy of Art University in San Francisco and Drexel University in Philadelphia.

Carter is a magna cum laude graduate of Pratt Institute, with a M.S. in Communications Design. She holds a BA in Graphic Design from Hampton University, magna cum laude graduate. Carter has earned multiple industry awards and recognitions throughout her career. She has been honored by Time Warner, Black Enterprise, National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications, The Webbys, The Art Directors Club, HOW Interactive and the Design Management Institute for her work in creative design and digital.
