We focus on major challenges at a truly macro level for many of the world’s largest and most influential corporations. In AERS Advisory, we work with CFOs and other corporate leadership to help them reduce, manage, and mitigate risk. We do this by helping them improve processes and procedures in areas such as audit, regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, cyber risk, and technology. Market offerings

As a professional in AERS Advisory, you have the opportunity to experience a variety of challenging career assignments and experiences.  Within AERS Advisory, we have eight market offerings and hundreds of sub-market offerings, all of which are rooted in Industry. 

Cyber Risk Services: Helps clients address pressing and pervasive strategic information and technology risks with the goal of enabling ongoing, secure, and vigilant and resilient operations across the enterprise. This is about information control.

Financial Statement & Internal Control Audit (FS&ICA): Provides specialized audit and review services as part of and related to the financial statement audit and reporting on internal controls.

Finance & Operations Risk Transformation (F&ORT): Assists clients with optimizing the management of financial risks emerging from changes in statutory reporting requirements, market volatility, and accounting pronouncements as well as operational risks associated with ongoing operations, external business relationships, and compliance with new and existing regulations.

Financial Accounting, Valuation & Securitization (FAV&S): Assists Clients with financial and accounting impacts of shifting regulations, changing accounting requirements, and emerging standards and delivers products and services that support the valuation of financial instruments and life cycle of securitized and structured financial products.

Governance, Regulatory & Risk Strategies (GR&RS): Assists organizations with their governance and risk strategies, processes, and technologies, and provides advisory services on emerging regulatory and compliance issues.

Internal Audit Transformation (IAT): Assists clients with enhancing the value of the internal audit function as a critical enterprise risk management resource to senior management, the board, and senior executives, and delivering internal audits.

Merger & Acquisition Services (M&A): Delivers accounting, tax, and business advisory services that support mergers, acquisitions, investment and financing structures, divestitures, and post-transaction activities. As you can imagine, this is an area full of risk for companies — on both sides of the transaction. It’s important that both companies fully understand valuations and processes for audit, accounting, transfer of client information, and more.

Strategic Risk Services: Provides services to help senior executives spot, assess, manage, and respond to risks and/or catastrophic unforeseen incidents that could undermine their competitive position and jeopardize their critical assets, reputation, and/or financial standing.

Career progression

Deloitte supports your progression through a well-defined career path by providing challenging assignments, mentoring, and formal trainings.

Within AERS Advisory, the entry-level title will be consultant. Professionals generally remain in this position for a few years before moving up to the senior consultant position. The progression from senior consultant to manager, senior manager, partner/principals or directors will depend on technical expertise as well as client and project leadership skills.
