What we have done

Integrate global HR with Oracle E-Business Suite and Business Intelligence

A cosmetic manufacturer lacked an integrated global HCM system as a system of truth for its data, resulting in data inconsistency in the HR organization. The company was following different HR Service Delivery Models by country, brand, region, function, and affiliate. It was also suffering from a lack of standardized processes, misaligned organizational priorities, and an absence of a consensus-driven culture.

Deloitte helped design and implement a future-state HR service delivery model and the enabling Oracle HR technology. The global HR Transformation project also coordinated deployment of the OBIEE reporting tool with manager self-service access, implementation of a case management system to support the Shared Services model, the design of a global security processes and controls framework, change management, communications, and end-to-end systems training using UPK. Additionally, the project aimed to reduce time spent on administrative tasks by adopting a shared services model, resulting in increased strategic value to the business and an enhanced overall user experience for over 35,000 employees around the world through adoption of self-service capability.

Assess and plan for an Oracle EBS Upgrade

An oil and gas field equipment manufacturer wanted to upgrade its ERP platform from Oracle 11.5.10.2 to R12.1.3 and build a platform for increasing the system footprint and functionality in the future.

Deloitte assessed the functional/technical impact of the upgrade, defined the roadmap for the project, and identified short-term and long-term improvement opportunities. The assessment helped the company finalize the functional and technical scope of the upgrade project and identify technical objects to be retrofitted, and also laid out the roadmap for implementation.

Consolidate systems and improve analytics through Oracle EBS

A food and facilities management services provider had a long list of goals for its HR Transformation: automate transactions and improve data visibility and integrity; enable real-time reporting of HR data analytics; empower managers and employees with self-service; distribute HR transactions to the field; automate control points of the hire-to-retire process with self-service workflow and approvals; and have full control and transparency over both hourly and salaried new hire compensation and merit increases.

Deloitte helped the company develop a solution that replaces aging, unsupported technology and multiple non-integrated systems and also builds in a control on compensation costs through customized workflow approval processes. The project also focused on controlling data integrity and provided managers with visibility into their direct reports through analytics and reporting. Project benefits included: correct, real-time reporting of HR data analytics and workflow approvals based on processes; visibility of total workforce labor spend, including temp/contingent labor and seasonal employees, enabled by full workforce analytics; workflow and approval hierarchy support for automating control points for corporate spend in Oracle financials; and full support for LMS and WFM with core HCMS roles, job family structures, multiple job and rate definitions, and contingent labor.
