David is a Tax principal in the Chicago office of Deloitte Tax LLP and co-leads Deloitte Tax’s US Sustainability, Climate and Equity practice. He has more than 20 years of experience in federal and state tax planning through a sustainability lens serving clients in a variety of industries including energy, manufacturing, transportation, financial services, technology, hospitality, retail, life sciences, telecommunications, and insurance. He has extensive experience identifying how tax can play a critical role in a client’s sustainability journey with significant focus on how the Inflation Reduction Act can be leveraged to accelerate that journey. Dave has always been passionate about sustainability working as an environmental engineer prior to joining Deloitte helping clients navigate complex environmental regulations. Dave has a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from Michigan State University.
