Itireleng Kubeka

Itireleng is the Managing Director for the Deloitte Africa Tax & Legal practice where she oversees the running of the Tax & Legal business in 11 Anglophone African countries. She has over 20 years of tax-related experience specialising in corporate tax and tax risk management, as well as solid expertise in the financial, banking, accounting and insurance industries.

Prior to joining Deloitte Africa, Itireleng was the group head of tax at one of the big financial institutions with presence in over 10 African countries and offices in both United Kingdom and United States of America. In her role as group head of tax, she managed the Group’s tax risk, ensured compliance with tax laws and legislations obligations, as well as accountable to the executive committee, financial director and the Board on all tax matters.

Itireleng was the Deputy Chair of the Banking Association of South Africa (BASA) Direct Tax Committee and Chair of the BASA Africa Tax Working Group.

She is a member of the South African Institute of Taxation (SAIT), a registered Tax Practitioner with SAIT and holds a Master’s Degree in International Tax.
