Herbert Kovar is a tax partner at the Deloitte Vienna office and has more than 20 years of experience in international and national tax planning of multinational groups. He is also engaged in reorganizing firms and accompanying M&A transactions of Japanese multinationals by conducting tax due diligence reviews. Furthermore, Herbert specialises in setting up companies and Austrian private foundations for international clients and supports them afterwards in ongoing compliance work, including corporate and individual taxation.

In his role as Tax Function Leader and Austrian Japanese Services Group Leader, he coordinates all services Deloitte provides in an integrated approach to attract Japanese investors to Austria. In cooperation with Deloitte Japan, Herbert has advised companies from various industries and supported their market entry and their business operations on-site.

Orsolya is a financial advisory partner at the Deloitte Vienna office and has more than 15 years of experience in corporate finance. She leads the Austrian M&A Transaction Services Team and has worked on a significant number of corporate deals that required vendor and buyer-side due diligences (both for strategic and financial investors), SPA advisory, carve-outs, and vendor assistance. In the course of her work, she accompanied Japanese multinationals in their M&A transactions and conducted the required financial due diligence analyses.

As Austrian M&A Transaction Services Leader and as member of the Austrian Japanese Services Group leadership team, Orsolya provides one-stop-shop services, comprising the coordination of Deloitte’s professional services (tax and legal advisory, financial advisory, risk advisory, consulting, audit) to incoming Japanese firms and Japanese companies that have already set up their business in Austria.
