How might university partnerships with industry evolve in the future?

 

What models of collaboration with businesses will make the greatest impact – for students, industry, the economy, and society? There is significant potential to further strengthen and expand the role partnerships between universities and industry have in Australia’s economic prosperity.

To understand how university and industry partnerships work in
Australia, Deloitte, with the Wallis Group, undertook extensive research with a purposeful sample of industry and university stakeholders to seek a broad range of views, participants included representatives from organisations that have never partnered or considered partnering with a university.

The report explores three key areas:

  1. What will drive industry demand for university partnerships as Australia positions itself to recover from COVID-19?
  2. Where are the new and emerging opportunities for partnerships, and how can universities harness these?
  3. What is the secret to successful partnerships, and what does this mean for industry engagement?
