Cyber in Energy

An escalating risk to critical infrastructure technology and processes

The shift towards renewable energy is already transforming our energy grid. More households are embracing renewable energy sources, which, although environmentally friendly, introduce variability to the supply and demand balance. To address this energy companies are using microgrids and new technologies to rapidly increase power supply. Consequently, the methods by which we connect to and protect our energy systems must advance. We will depend more on cloud technologies and the Internet of Things (IoT) for monitoring supply and demand, moving away from previously isolated systems and fundamentally changing the architecture that has secured our critical assets in the past.

All of these changes will mean growing complexity in the grid, with open questions around who's responsible, security architecture choices and the challenges of delivering security foundational capabilities like asset management, vulnerability management and security monitoring.

Hear about the current and emerging cyber-related risks, challenges and opportunities impacting the energy sector from our team of sector specialists and gain important insights into how you and your team can implement the necessary frameworks, tools, and processes to mitigate these potentially damaging financial and reputational risks associated with cyber incidents and threats.
