Deloitte Women in Cloud

Fresh perspectives on some of the world’s big challenges

Welcome to Deloitte Women in Cloud

An introduction from our Globalize Consulting Cloud Transformation Sponsor and Deloitte Global Core Business Operations Leader

Welcome to Deloitte Women in Cloud

Deloitte Global celebrates “Cloud Technology for Sustainability” for #EarthDay2023. Cloud transformation and sustainability are among two key priority areas for many global organisations. With rapid advancement, organisations are generally looking to leverage cloud technology to help achieve their sustainability goals. For example, one of our featured women cloud leaders, Nysia Sewell, Partner, Deloitte UK, and her team have done remarkable work around geospatial technology in the cloud. Nysia helped develop a carbon sequestration prototype that utilises land classification data to help provide insights to Deloitte clients on how their green land helps them get closer to net-zero.

At Deloitte Global, we are determined to continue to do more - enhancing our cloud transformation practice with a diverse set of perspectives and innovative thinking, including our latest innovations in sustainability. In March 2023, Deloitte US launched the GreenLight Solution, an end-to-end sustainability solution that helps unlock a clear, actionable path to net-zero emissions. It is a cloud-based solution composed of a modular system of tools that helps empower organisations at each stage of their decarbonisation journey. This solution can help Deloitte clients set their sustainability goals and help achieve them by establishing emission baselines, setting net-zero goals, evaluating these initiatives, developing roadmaps, and building reporting capabilities for internal and external audiences to map progress.

In addition, this month, the WiC campaign will highlight two of our women leaders: Natalie Dale, Senior Manager, Deloitte Australia, and Kun Tian , Senior Consultant, Deloitte Japan. Natalie joined Deloitte as a graduate into the Technology, Strategy & Architecture team, and through the right mentorship at various stages of her career, she found her passion in cloud advisory. For Kun, cloud brings speed to the businesses – enabling more cost-efficient and economical operations and speedy go-to-market decision-making for business stakeholders.

Cloud technologies can offer many opportunities to organisations to help achieve sustainability goals as well as other business transformation goals. Along with Nysia, Natalie and Kun, the Women in Cloud (WiC) campaign features 12 more exceptional women cloud leaders who bring a diverse set of experience into different cloud-related work streams and help Deloitte clients to explore different business areas where cloud technologies can be integrated. Mark Walsh, Globalize Consulting Leader, Heather Stockton, Deloitte Global Offerings & Assets Leader, and I find these stories extremely inspiring, and we are proud to work alongside these exceptional women leaders.

Discover how these remarkable women leaders are driving organisational and environmental innovation through their stories. If you share a similar passion as these women, join them as this could be you.
