Hugh currently has two distinct responsibilities within the Australian firm. The first includes a number of technology-based offerings within the Forensic practice. This includes the development and operation of subscription-based services, including the firm’s whistleblower offering which includes complaints handling and resolution offerings. Other offerings include various survey, benchmarking, and control self-assessment tools. 

The second is responsibility for the development and management of the Australian firm’s off shoring initiatives which now numbers at more than 1,400 FTE’s. 

Hugh has worked in many areas of the Australian Deloitte firm including: Audit, Corporate Recovery, Forensic and Risk. His experience in the Deloitte international network spans a broad range of insolvency, restructuring work, investment advisory and forensic accounting work. 

Before moving to Sydney, Hugh has been variously based in Papua New Guinea, Thailand, the UK, and Georgia in the former Soviet Union. In Thailand he was responsible for developing a restructuring and inbound investment advisory practice. Prior to arrival in Thailand he was based in the United Kingdom, where his most significant experience was with the liquidation of the Bank of Credit and Commerce International, which was then the world’s largest liquidation. In the earlier part of his career he worked in Australia in both the audit and insolvency groups.
