Meet Monique, a Canberra-based Consultant in our Data & AI team, which is part of the Strategy and AI practice in our Consulting Business Unit. She recently discovered what it’s like to work as a functional test analyst.
So, tell us about a day in the life …
I have worked at Deloitte for about a year now, and I have loved the culture and the projects I get to work on. When I started, I honestly had no idea which area of data I wanted to specialise in or what I wanted to achieve. I have had the opportunity to work with some amazing people and clients and had the opportunity to try out several areas of expertise. For example, right now I’m thoroughly enjoying working as a Functional Test Analyst (which I never thought I'd even consider trying!).
Outside of work I love the outdoors (you’ll find me hiking or playing golf terribly) or working on random side projects. I’m one of those people who hates buying things you can learn to do yourself. Side quests I embark on include playing piano, singing, woodwork (I built a huge standing wall mirror), sewing and more recently I’ve been designing a website for my partner.
My team has an awesome culture and I have made some great friends in our team. The technical expertise, training and mentorship which Deloitte provides is fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone.
