Meet Natalie Dale, Cloud & Engineering Senior Manager
Meet Natalie, a Melbourne-based Senior Manager in our Cloud & Engineering Advisory team, which is part of the Core Business Operations practice in our Consulting Business Unit. She is passionate about supporting clients in their technology transformation journeys, specifically focusing on how technology and cloud can streamline operations and optimise services to customers.
So, tell us about a day in the life …
My day will vary slightly depending on whether I go into the office or not. However for both options I like to start my day relatively early by playing fetch with my dog before work.
Once we’re finished, I get online and start to plan for the day ahead. I find it helpful to make a list of tasks/outcomes that I want or need to achieve for the day. Where I need to, I set aside time in my calendar to get these done. My day can vary quite a bit and is usually split 50/50 between client or internal meetings and working with the team.
After work I usually go to the gym for an hour or two, go for long walk, and either watch a movie or read a book.
From your perspective, how does Cloud help our clients unlock business benefits?
Technology changes rapidly and alongside these changes and advancements user, customer and employee expectations also change. Cloud is a key enabler for many of these technology advancements and opens opportunities for our clients to improve the services they provide, reduce costs, increase automation and introduce efficiencies.
I’ve recently been working with a Financial Services client to understand how and when they should modernise their technology services, and what benefits this could help them realise. The goal is to focus high-value targets and achieve some “quick wins” to unlock value for their business.

Why do you love your job?
I personally enjoy being challenged and having variety. I love my job as each day is different and keeps me interested – regardless of whether you’re on a long or short project, trying something new or doing something you’ve done before, there’s a lot of variety in what we do day-to-day.
Alongside client work, there are a lot of opportunities to get involved with internal initiatives that can help you gain more experience, increase your networking and learn.
