GLOBE is Deloitte Australia's gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex (LGBTI) leadership forum and member community. GLOBE’s activities support our overall goal of building an environment in which all our people feel valued and accepted.

When people are able to bring their whole, un-edited self to work, it unleashes their potential and allows them to truly flourish.

However for many LGBTI Australians, the above situation is not commonplace, with some feeling compelled to remain in the closet at work for fear of professional roadblocks or worse.

GLOBE is Deloitte Australia's gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex (LGBTI) leadership forum and member community. GLOBE’s vision is to create an inclusive work environment where our LGBTI people can be their authentic selves and set out to achieve their career goals regardless of how they identify. 

Led by Consulting Partner Robbie Robertson, the GLOBE steering committee comprises several LGBTI ‘Out Role Models’ from a number of business units who collectively determine our LGBTI inclusion strategy.

    What we do

    GLOBE’s activities support our overall goal of building an environment in which all our people feel valued and accepted. The GLOBE working group meets monthly to coordinate activities, training and awareness sessions throughout the firm.

    During the year we celebrate events like International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHOT) and Wear It Purple Day. Additionally, we are involved in other community events as detailed below.

    Annual Workplace Equality Index – Pride in Diversity

    Deloitte is an employer of choice for LGBTI Inclusion, having achieved the level of Bronze employer through the Pride in Diversity Annual Workplace Equality Index (AWEI). 2017 is the fourth year Deloitte participated in the Index, having achieved a Bronze ranking for the past three years. In 2017, our CEO, Cindy Hook was named CEO of the Year at the Australian LGBTI Inclusion Awards.
