Welcome to the 158th edition of the Deloitte Queensland Index, a review of Queensland listed companies on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) that also includes the Deloitte Energy & Resources (E&R) Index.

Key points for August 2017

  • The Deloitte Queensland Index declined in August by 0.9%, with the Deloitte Queensland E&R Index improving by 6.3%. The S&P/ASX All Ordinaries remained steady.
  • The Deloitte Queensland Index increased by 2.7% in the last year, with the Deloitte Queensland E&R Index rising by 27.2%. The ASX All Ordinaries also improved by 4.5% over the last year
  • There are currently 184 companies on the Deloitte Queensland Index
  • During August 2017 the market capitalisation of 88 companies increased and the market capitalisation of 69 companies decreased. The rest were either new entrants or retained their position for the month.
