Deloitte ranked sixth on the Australian Financial Review’s Most Innovative Companies list in 2017, jumping from 18 in 2016 and 30 in 2015. This quantum leap earned us recognition as Australia and New Zealand’s ‘most improved’ innovative company.
Diversity & Inclusion
The 2017 Pride in Diversity Awards recognised Deloitte CEO, Cindy Hook, for her contribution to promoting visible LGBTI role models to the LGBTI community within Deloitte and nationally.
Our Aspiring Women program to recognise and fast-track female talent received the Australian HR Institute (AHRI) Dame Quentin Bryce AD CVO Gender Equity In the Workplace Award.
Deloitte wins top organisational psychology award for inclusive leadership
Deloitte was recognised by the Australian Psychological Society’s Workplace Excellence Awards, for identifying inclusive leadership as a new capability in effective leadership and for developing and building an inclusive leadership assessment (ILA) tool.

2016 Recognition and Awards
The Australian HR Awards bring together industry leaders to celebrate excellence in the HR profession, recognising individuals, teams and companies for their outstanding achievements in people management. This year Deloitte were finalists in four categories – Employer of Choice (1000+employees), Best Graduate Development Program, Best Workplace Diversity and Inclusion Program and Australian HR Team of the Year (1000+ employees).
Deloitte was presented with two awards on the night – Australian HR Team of the Year and Best Graduate Development Program - winning against other finalists including Challenger, Sanofi, Westpac Group and Flight Centre.
The Best HR team award is a testament to the Deloitte People and Performance team’s continued focus on innovating to make an impact that matters to both the firm and our people, including reinventing performance management, driving the firm’s diversity and inclusion agenda and delivering on the firm’s learning strategy.
The Best Graduate Development Program was great recognition for the firm’s continued focus on providing graduate employees with a differentiated learning experience, including the D.Academy Breakthrough event, NFP project based learning experience and analyst learning curriculum. This award recognises excellence in innovation in graduate development programs and is an acknowledgement of the firm’s commitment to making each year better than the last for our graduates.
Deloitte continues to demonstrate that innovation is at the heart of our business, competing against over 1,000 organisations to be recognised as one of Australia’s most innovative companies.
Making the AFR Most Innovative Companies list for the fourth year in a row, Deloitte moved up the ranks from #30 in 2015 to #18 in 2016.
Deloitte collected five awards at the Australian Financial Review’s 2016 Top Employer Awards, including Most Popular Graduate Employer and Most Popular STEM Employer, demonstrating its continued popularity amongst graduates from a variety of disciplines.
With graduates continuing to be a critical part of the Deloitte workforce and 25% of the intake coming from a STEM background, this recognition from the future leaders of the business highlights the importance placed by Deloitte on offering a breadth of careers and attracting top graduate talent.

Deloitte has ranked number one employer for accounting and financial management graduates, leading the Big Four in a survey of over 6,000 Australian students undertaken by GradAustralia in conjunction with The Australian.
The Top 100 Graduate Employers 2016, published in The Australian and shared with universities nationally to support students with their career choices, lists the most desirable employers in Australia.
Deloitte was presented with an award for second most desirable organisation overall for graduates nationally, with Google taking out the top spot.
This is the second year in a row that Deloitte has achieved these rankings, a testament to the continued emphasis placed on the value of graduate talent and the importance paid to attracting and hiring the best.
