The Deloitte South Australian Index is based on the market capitalisation weighted share price performance of South Australian listed companies.

The Deloitte South Australian Index (the Index) is compiled from publicly available information provided by the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). The Index is based on the market capitalisation weighted share price performance of South Australian listed companies. The impact of dividends and capital returns is excluded from the Index, which currently comprises 66 companies.

Quarterly movements

The Deloitte SA Index increased by 4.2% during the September quarter, compared to a 1.3% decrease for the S&P/ASX 200 over the same period.

Six-month movements

The Deloitte SA Index increased by 0.8% during the six months to 30 September 2017, compared to a 3.1% decrease for the S&P/ASX 200 over the same period.

Twelve-month movements

The Deloitte SA Index decreased by 0.5% over the 12 months to 30 September 2017, compared to a 4.5% increase for the S&P/ASX 200 over the same period.
