Return to Work Program Details

The Return to Work program is designed to assist those who have had time away from the business - for parenthood, family care or other reasons, to return to work.

While being open to men and women, the program has a key aim of helping women who have taken a break to transition back into the workplace. The program is part of our wider strategy to improve diversity at all levels of the business and forms part of our commitment to being an inclusive employer.

In its first year the programme will be focused specifically within Consulting and is looking for talented individuals, at the Manager or Director level. This is a paid 20 week programme based in either Melbourne or Sydney with the view to securing a permanent or contract role at the end of the programme.

Over the 20 weeks you will be provided with tailored support and experience to help you readjust back into the world of work in professional services. We will give you the coaching you need to confidently rediscover your professional self.

Roles will be based on a four-day working week and are spread across the Consulting practice within all areas of the business. The program is open to anyone who has:

• Taken a career break from the workplace for 2 or more years;

• An interest in returning to work (either in a full-time or part-time capacity);

• Relevant experience within professional services or an equivalent industry;

• The right to work in Australia and is available to start in July 2017.

1. Research:

2. Application

The online application considers:

  • Past work, leadership and team experience
  • Passion, enthusiasm and motivation for the program

3. Phone interview

You will have a conversation style phone call with a member of the Talent Acquisition team to discuss:

  • Your motivation to join Deloitte
  • Your interest in Consulting
  • You will receive guidance on what career opportunities are available to you

4. Partner Interview

Interview with a Partner in the business unit you are looking to join within Consulting. Behavioural based interview which focusses on your past experience and the future direction of your career.
