The social impact of Gippsland’s Neighbourhood Houses
Estimating the return on investment
In this era of COVID and economic recession, existing health inequities are being exacerbated. In this context, community services organisations are punching above their weight, now more so than ever. This Deloitte Access Economics study found the Neighbourhood Houses Gippsland network is doing just that.
Deloitte Access Economics was engaged by NHG to conduct a social return on investment (SROI) study, seeking to measure the social impact of NHG member’s activities. The study examined the activities undertaken by NHG members between April 2019 and March 2020 reflecting a combination of business as usual operations and emergency response activities.
The study found that every dollar invested into the Neighbourhood Houses of Gippsland returned $2.78 in economic and social benefits.
