Prior to the pandemic in Australia, our bushfire season was a stark reminder of the environmental reality of climate change, along with drought, fires, floods and the impact it all wrought on our flora and fauna, along with its effect on how we live. As the world adapts and moves forward, we can reduce future economic shocks by ensuring Australia’s recovery embraces a low carbon future. Our future prosperity depends on refocusing the green economy rather than sticking to twentieth century business models and infrastructure.
