Virtual care

Virtual care is a foundational element of a consumer-centric future of health.

With changing health care reimbursement models, growing consumer demand, and advances in digital technologies, virtual care is a must-have for health systems.

Virtual care is not new in Australia, but it is more than just telehealth and even broader, virtual health refers to a healthcare delivery approach across the whole consumer well-being lifecycle, including before and after any care episodes. Virtual health has the potential to transform care delivery but right now, it is not living up to that promise.

As virtual health evolves and becomes pivotal for delivering patient care, health leaders must adapt to virtually enabled models of care to build a sustainable foundation for consumer-centric, affordable, accessible and high-quality health care.
