Deloitte accelerates capabilities by investing in new cloud management services

Purchases the assets of ATADATA

1 February 2018: Deloitte has made a significant investment in cloud management services, purchasing the assets of ATADATA, an Atlanta-based provider of a cloud platform that maps, migrates and manages workloads in any combination of on-premise and cloud environments.

ATADATA’s market-leading cloud management and automation platform, ATAsphere, will expand Deloitte’s robust end-to-end cloud offerings. It both drives and optimises enterprise operations – from the strategy phase, to the build and operate phases. These services, coupled with Deloitte’s in-depth business and industry knowledge, will help clients achieve the promise of cloud.

Zack Levy, Deloitte DevOps Partner said: “This is a really exciting and significant investment and demonstrates our commitment to becoming the go-to partner in cloud. It demonstrates the power of the global firm in utilising our overseas capabilities for the benefit of the Australian market. The ATAsphere platform will ensure we help our clients to better leverage and manage their cloud environments.”

Kevin Russo, Lead Partner - Technology, Strategy, and Architecture added: “This investment further strengths our relationship with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and gives Deloitte the ability to offer our clients a solution which can accelerate digital transformation through rapid and effective planning, building and operating innovative cloud solutions. We will continue to drive innovation using cloud, digital, and cognitive technologies for a wide range of enterprise clients.”

This transaction follows significant cloud investments made by Deloitte. In 2017, the firm formed an alliance with Amazon Web Services to build a 2,500 strong global AWS cloud practice.
