Deloitte talent team recognised as HR Team of the Year at Australian HR Awards

1 October 2021: Deloitte Australia’s talent team has been recognised as HR Team of the Year at the 2021 Australian HR Awards.

Deloitte was also recognised as a finalist in the Best Leadership Development Program, Best Learning & Development Program, and Best Workplace Diversity & Inclusion Program categories.

The judges praised Deloitte for providing strong strategic direction and launching a number of innovative initiatives despite a challenging year facing the ongoing impacts of COVID-19. These initiatives included:

  • Cura, Deloitte’s personalised learning program
  • Stepping into the Future, designed to equip employees with skills required for the future of work
  • Enboarder, an onboarding program that provides employees with their first connection to Deloitte
  • MyBenefits, a one-stop-shop platform for all Deloitte-exclusive benefits.

Deloitte’s talent team was also praised for supporting the business to transition a 9,000 strong workforce to remote working overnight, following nationwide lockdowns, developing a COVID-19 wellbeing hub, and launching a new mental health strategy to support staff.

Deloitte Australia Chief Human Resources Officer, Tina McCreery, said: “At Deloitte, we understand the importance of creating a great talent experience for our people, where everyone is supported to be at their best.

“Our role as a talent function is not just to coach and support the business, but also to support our people by anticipating future business challenges and sensing impending trends.

“We’re proud of our initiatives, policies and frameworks and are committed to creating an environment in which all our people feel comfortable to be themselves and are able to reach their full potential, every day.

“To be named as Australia’s leading HR team, and for so many of our initiatives to also be acknowledged, is an incredible recognition for our team and our business.”

Deloitte Chief Strategy Officer, Clare Harding, said: “I am proud of our talent team for making an impact that matters for our people. The support provided to our business by more than 100 HR professionals in developing innovative and integrated talent solutions that resonate with our people and allow them to be their best selves, both at work and home, is integral to the growth and impact of our firm."
