North American millennials will spend over $62 billion on media content in 2015 predicts Deloitte.

Executive summary

Deloitte predicts that young people (16-24) will not refuse to pay for content or watch advertising in 2015. In fact, their TMT spending will average over $2,500 per year. Between a third and two thirds will pay for cable, read newspapers and watch or listen to ads. And those who won't pay for newspapers, traditional TV or radio will pay for many other forms of media: either older media like music concerts, cinema, or print books; or new forms of digital media such as SVOD services like Netflix or music services like Spotify.
