Through leading a multitude of projects, Marc has gained a range of both life insurance and consulting experience, in the Australian and UK markets. Having grown up in South Africa, he qualified and spent a number of years working in the UK, before transferring to Australia in 2014. He has experience in a wide range of areas including: traditional life insurance, reinsurance, banking and general statistical analysis.
He has run actuarial audits, M&A due diligence and valuations, Independent expert (Part 9) opinions, trail valuations, regulatory reviews, EV reporting, pricing, business planning and transformation work, within life insurance and reinsurance. He is a co-author of the Actuaries Institute Green Paper on “The Impact of Big Data on the Future of Insurance”, and has a keen interest on the future of the actuarial profession and ensuring actuaries remain relevant.
Marc has a BSc with Honours in Actuarial Science from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa, and is a Fellow of both the Australian Actuaries Institute as well as the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the UK.
