Partner, Risk Advisory
550 Bourke Street
Matthew leads the national cyber risk team in Australia and specialises in helping clients to ensure they have the right rules and controls to manage the risks they take, creating a control environment that is efficient, effective, sustainable and fit for purpose.
He is passionate about creating streamlined technology risk and control environments that consider each unique process situation and the impact increasing regulation, changing governance standards, greater use of technology and globalisation will have on organisational controls. By doing so Matthew is has been able to redefine intelligent control design that enables improved business performance instead of just managing compliance.
He has over 16 years’ experience helping local and global organisations across public sector, mining and financial services industries get out of their own way by shifting technology risk culture from attempting to manage everything that can go wrong, to focussing on what must go right.
Matthew is a joint author of Get out of your own way: Unleashing productivity, the fourth report in Deloitte’s “Building the Lucky Country” series of reports. This world first report calculated the cost of rules for a nation qualifying their impact on our national productivity.
