Tim Heberden

Tim is a specialist in IP valuation, IP royalties and value optimisation of tech, brand and data assets. He leads Deloitte Australia’s IP Value Advisory team that supports the firm’s M&A, Consulting, Tax and Risk advisers maximise the value of clients’ IP assets.

Tim is named in the IAM Strategy 300 – the World’s Leading IP Strategists. He is technical author of the ‘Guidance Note on the Valuation of IP’ (issued by RICS), and is author of a chapter on IP royalties for ‘International Licensing & Tech Transfer’. Having specialised in IP economics for twenty years, Tim is able to integrate the complexities of tech, data and brand assets into robust valuations, ratings and royalty opinions. His team use a range of value-based metrics to provide insights that unlock hidden IP value, and mitigate the risk associated with IP assets.

Tim is a CA, MBA, Registered Business Valuer, Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and a Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute.
