The Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL) Global Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) industry group has finished its Technology Fast 500™ EMEA ranking for 2014. This list is compiled annually to acknowledge the 500 fastest-growing technology companies from more than 20 countries in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) based on their average percentage revenue growth over a five-year period.

The overall average revenue growth rate of this year’s Fast 500™ list was 1,700 percent, an increase from the 1,500 percent growth rate for 2013. The French self-service, online ticketing solution company WEEZEVENT has been placed in the top spot in 2014. WEEZEVENT is an online event ticketing solution in France, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Belgium and Québec, offering event organizers a simple and seamless online platform to create their event ticket requirements.

This year Israel had an extremely strong presence, with five companies in this year’s top 10, along with Germany, which had two.

For the third consecutive year, СTI topped the ranking of Russian companies with a five-year revenue growth rate of 363 percent. CTI is a software developer and telecom services provider to Russian regions and is one of the country’s leaders in network and systems integration.

The software sector represented 42 percent of the overall rankings on this year’s Fast 500, followed by the Internet sector with 21 percent. Rounding out the sector list were Telecommunications/Networking (13 percent), Semiconductors/Components/Electronics (7 percent), Biotech/Pharmaceutical/Medical Equipment (7 percent), Greentech (5 percent), Media/Entertainment (3 percent), and Computers/Peripherals (2 percent).
