Betty Brathwaite is a Partner at Deloitte in Barbados and served as the Office Managing Partner from June 2013 to September 2017. She is the first female to hold the positions initially of Partner and Managing Partner in both the Barbados office and within the Caribbean and Bermuda Countries (“Deloitte CBC”).

Betty has over 25 years of experience in audit, tax and corporate services, and her portfolio of clients is wide and varied. Prior to assuming the role as Managing Partner of Deloitte Barbados, Betty held the positions of Audit Leader and Tax Leader within the practice. She has also served as the Director of Independence and Ethics Officer and currently maintains responsibility for Information Technology and Brand Compliance for the Barbados office.

Betty was part of the working group for the integration of the Deloitte offices in the CBC region and was a member of the Nomination Committee to choose a CEO. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Deloitte CBC. Betty is the Immediate Past President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Caribbean (ICAC) and has been playing a key role in the development of the regional accountancy body since she was appointed to the Board in June 2001. She is a past President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados (ICAB) and continues to serve as a member of the ICAB Council. Betty has previously served as the ACCA International Assembly Representative for Barbados and is a former Vice President of the Barbados Coalition of Service Industries. She currently sits as a member of Council of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
